These honey turnovers are one of my favorite weekend treats to make, and I'm thrilled to share them with you. What makes them so special is the beautiful combination of flaky pastry with a sweet honey filling studded with nutritious rolled oats, which provide wonderful fiber and sustained energy. The best part? The entire recipe comes together in just under an hour, and honestly, most of the ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. They're wonderfully affordable to make and incredibly simple, even for a beginner baker. Whether you're baking for your family or preparing a batch for guests, these little pockets of goodness never fail to impress.

Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Tip: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cold butter, and granulated sugar. Use a pastry blender or your fingertips to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- 3
Add the honey, oats, salt, and egg to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
Tip: If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If it's too dry, add a little more milk.
- 4
Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten slightly into a disk shape.
- 5
Place a tablespoon of the honey filling in the center of each disk. Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal.
- 6
Brush the tops of the turnovers with a little milk and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
Tip: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 7
Allow the turnovers to cool on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Tip: Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
