Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare the pastry dough. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until the dough comes together. Gradually add the eggs and milk, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- 2
Roll out the chilled pastry dough to a thickness of 3 mm (1/8 inch). Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the pastry with the melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for 15 minutes.
- 3
While the pastry is baking, prepare the praline filling. In a small saucepan, combine the praline paste and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture caramelizes and forms a smooth, dark brown paste. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 4
Remove the pastry from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Spread the cooled praline paste evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1 cm (1/2 inch) border around the edges. Roll the pastry into a tight log and cut into 6 equal pieces.
- 5
Place the pastry pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the pastry to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
