This is one of my favorite dishes to make when I want something special without spending hours in the kitchen. The beauty of roasted ham with broccoli is that it comes together in just over an hour, making it perfect for busy weeknights or weekend gatherings. I love how the maple syrup and dijon mustard glaze caramelizes on the ham while the broccoli roasts alongside it, soaking up all those wonderful flavors. Plus, broccoli is packed with vitamin C and fiber, so you're getting something truly nourishing alongside that gorgeous ham. The whole meal feels restaurant quality but costs far less than ordering out.

Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the ham dry with paper towels and place it cut-side down in a roasting pan. Insert whole cloves into the diamond-scored pattern across the surface, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Tip: Scoring the ham allows the glaze to penetrate deeper and creates an attractive presentation.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
Tip: Make the glaze while the oven preheats to save time.
- 3
Brush half of the maple-mustard glaze evenly over the top and sides of the ham using a pastry brush.
Tip: Reserve the remaining glaze for basting during cooking.
- 4
Toss the broccoli florets in a separate bowl with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper until well coated.
Tip: Keep the broccoli separate initially so it doesn't steam in the ham's moisture.
- 5
Place the ham in the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, brush the remaining glaze over the ham and scatter the seasoned broccoli florets around it in the pan.
Tip: Adding broccoli halfway through prevents it from becoming too soft.
- 6
Drizzle the broccoli with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and return the pan to the oven for another 20-25 minutes, until the broccoli is tender with slightly crispy edges and the ham is heated through.
Tip: The ham is pre-cooked, so you're mainly heating it and developing the glaze.
- 7
Remove from the oven and let the ham rest for 5 minutes before carving. Transfer to a serving platter alongside the roasted broccoli.
Tip: Resting allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat more moist.
- 8
Spoon any pan drippings over the ham and broccoli before serving for extra flavor and moisture.
Tip: The caramelized glaze in the bottom of the pan is pure flavor gold.
