This treacle tea loaf is one of my favorite quick bakes because it comes together in just an hour from start to finish. The beauty of this recipe is how straightforward it is to make, with humble pantry staples that won't break the bank. I love using golden syrup and black tea as the base because they create such a wonderfully moist crumb, and the warm spices of ginger and cinnamon add real depth. Black tea is packed with antioxidants too, so you're getting a little nutritional boost with every slice. Whether you're craving something comforting on a rainy afternoon or need a simple tea time treat, this loaf never disappoints.
