This vanilla layer cake is my go to recipe whenever I want something homemade and impressive without spending all day in the kitchen. With just forty five minutes from start to finish, you can have two beautiful golden layers cooling on your counter before you know it. The best part? You probably have everything in your pantry already, which means no expensive specialty ingredients or last minute grocery runs. Eggs are packed with protein and choline, which are great for brain health, making this dessert a tiny bit more nutritious than you'd expect. Trust me, once you master this simple recipe, you'll be making it constantly for birthdays, potlucks, and just because afternoons.
