My favorite granola recipe has become legendary among friends, and I'm thrilled to share it with you. This wholesome blend combines hearty oats with nutrient dense almonds, millet, and wheat germ, creating a breakfast that's both delicious and nourishing. The beauty of this recipe is its simplicity: just 15 minutes of prep work gets everything mixed and ready for the oven. Hemp seeds and flax seeds add omega 3 fatty acids that support heart health, making every spoonful count nutritionally. You can customize the dried fruit and additional nuts based on what you have on hand, making it incredibly budget friendly and adaptable. In under an hour, you'll have a homemade granola that rivals anything store bought.

Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- 2
In a very large bowl, mix together the oats, nuts, millet, oat bran, wheat germ, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- 3
In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple juice, maple syrup, brown rice syrup and canola oil. Add to the dry mixture, mixing until combined and oat mixture is well coated.
- 4
Spread this mixture out on two parchment-lined baking sheets
- 5
Bake in preheated oven for about 50 to 60, gently tossing granola several times during baking (about every 15 min.) You don’t want the granola to burn or get too brown. (Although the granola might seem a little soft when you remove it from the oven, it will crisp-up once it cools.).
- 6
Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheets.
- 7
Once cool, stir in any of the extras and store in an airtight container. (at this point you could also add things like Hemp seeds or Flaxseeds but then make sure to store your granola in the fridge, but if you don't add the Hemp seeds or Flaxseeds then you DON'T need to store your granola in the fridge -- or you could add your Hempseeds or Flaxseeds right before serving).
